One of the first books that made me feel fear and dread as a teenage reader. Short read, and everything that H.G. Wells writes is a pleasure to read – he's one of the best examples of a precise and free grasp of the English language.

I've watched it countless times before and I'll watch it countless times more.

Multiple unique storylines. All intertwined, from the first second. The film deepens with every watch, as more links between storylines and scenes are noticed. Incredible the first time, and better each time after that.

It looks like an old sci-fi book cover from the 90s or early 2000s. It feels like one. I never heard of this show and only saw extremely positive reviews online, once you get past episode 8. Although not usually inclined to suffer through a bad beginning with the promise of something better, there were so many overly positive reviews that I gave it a shot. Boy, is it worth it. It's weird. My favorite thing about the first and second season is the constant clashing of cultures. Nobody agrees on anything and they all hold the moral high ground in their own moral compass, and it's not even possible to logically disagree with them. In every character's morality, they are acting as model citizens. So they constantly negotiate and compromise over everything. There's love, there's action, there's a family that grows out of disagreements and chaos, just like the families we know and hail from. The storylines generally develop well too, rewarding the watcher for paying attention to details.

"Oh it has too many fillers!" "Oh it makes no sense!"

This show's absolutely fantastic for fast paced action, magical gangster fights. It has special rings with powers, but not lame ones like in LOTR. Binge-worthy.
